Captain Rabiu Hamisu Yadudu has succeeded Saleh Dunoma as the Managing Director (MD) of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). Prior to his appointment, Yadudu was the Director of Operations at FAAN.
According to a statement issued by the Deputy Director of Press and Public Affairs at the Ministry of Transport (Aviation), James Odaudu, Yadudu’s appointment takes effect immediately.
The statement reads partly thus;
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Captain Rabiu Hadudu as the new MD of FAAN.
“Yadudu an ICAO / ACI accredited Airport Professional, holds professional certifications in Avionics, Airport Safety Management Systems, Airport Security Management, and others.”
Rabiu Hamisu Yadudu’s profile: Mr Yadudu is a seasoned aviator with considerable experience in domestic, regional, and inter/transcontinental scheduled passenger, charter, and cargo.
He holds current NCAA & FAA licenses as Captain in Command on the Boeing 747,200/300, Learjet 45 XR, and Cessna Citation Sovereign – CE-680 aircraft.
Until his recent appointment, Yadudu served as a Deputy Director and Captain in Command at the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in the presidency; specifically their Cessna Citation Sovereign Air Ambulance.
His academic Background: He graduated from the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) in 1993 as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenances Engineer (AVIONICS). He later trained at Delta Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas, USA, where he obtained his Commercial Pilot License in 1995.
He started his career in the industry with Nigeria Airways as an Avionics Maintenance Engineer. However, he later left for Kabo Air where he joined as a Co-pilot and rose to become a Captain in 2007. In the course of his career at Kabo Air, he has served at different points in time as the Safety Pilot, Head of Safety, and Chief Pilot.
