The Nigerian Stock Exchange ended Wednesday’s trading session, in negative territory. The All Share Index closed at 29.900.11 basis points, down 0.58%.

Year to date, the index is down 4.87%.

Top Gainers and Losers

Dangote Flour Mills Plc was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 9.79% to close at N12.90. BOC Gases Nigeria Plc gained 9.76% to close at N4.16. Fidson Healthcare Plc rounds up the top three gainers for today. The stock gained 9.64% to close at N4.55.

On the flip side, Conoil Plc was the worst performing stock today. The stock declined by 9.57% to close at N20.80. International Breweries Plc fell by 8.70% to close at N21. AG Leventis Plc rounds up the top three losers for the day. The stock shed 7.14% to close at N0.26.

Top Trades by Volume

Zenith Bank Plc was the most actively traded stock today. 25 million shares valued at N543 million were traded in 371 deals. Access Bank Plc was next with 27 million shares valued at 190 million traded in 314 deals. United Bank of Africa Plc rounds up the top three most actively traded stocks today. 25 million shares valued at N180 million were traded in 340 deals.

Corporate Actions

Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc has released its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2019.

Revenue dipped from N26.3 billion in 2018 to N18.3 billion in 2019.

Profit before Tax decreased from N5.9 billion in 2018 to N2.5 billion in 2019.

Profit for the Period also decreased from N5.4 billion in 2018 to N2 billion in 2019.

Portland Paints and Production Nigeria Plc, has released its the financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2019.

Revenue increased from N624 million in 2018 to N777 million in 2019.

Profit before Tax increased from N34 million in 2018 to N97 million.

Profit for Continuing Operations also increased from N23 million in 2018 to N66 million in 2019.

Austin Laz & Company Plc, has released its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2019.

Revenue dipped from N112 million in 2018 to N106 million in 2019.

Profit before Tax increased from N132 thousand in 2018 to N8.3 million in 2019.

Profit after Tax also increased from N74 thousand in 2018 to N8.3 million in 2019.

Custodian Investment Plc, has released its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2019.

Revenue increased from N11.4 billion in 2018 to N14.8 billion in 2019.

Profit before Tax increased from N2.1 billion to N2.4 billion in 2019.

Profit after Tax also increased from N1.8 billion in 2018 to N1.9 billion in 2019.

Nigerian Breweries has released its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2019.

Revenue increased from N88 billion in 2018 to N91 billion in 2019.

Profit before Tax decreased from N15.2 billion in 2018 to N11.4 billion in 2019.

Profit after Tax decreased from N10.2 billion in 2018 to N8 billion in 2019.
