Beta Glass leads losers as All Share Index drops for the second day running

The Nigerian Stock Exchange ended the second trading session this week, in negative territory. The All Share Index closed at 30,226.77 basis points, down 1%. Year to date, the index is down 3.83% 

Top Gainers and Losers 

Wema Bank was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 10% to close at N0.77.  Sovereign Trust Insurance also gained 10% to close at N0.22. Ikeja Hotel rounds up the top three gainers for today. The stock gained 9.71% to close at N2.26.  

On the flip side, Beta glass was the worst performing stock today. The stock declined by 9.95% to close at N58.35. Forte Oil fell by 9.93% to close at N24.95. Nigerian Breweries rounds up the top three losers for the day. The stock shed 9.68% to close at N56.90.

Top Trades by Volume  

FCMB was the most actively traded stock today. 53.8 million shares valued at N99.9 million were traded in 111 deals. Sterling Bank was next with 41.3 million shares valued at N99.2 million traded in 84 deals UBA rounds up the top three most actively traded stocks today. 41.3 million shares valued at N316 million were traded in 371 deals.
