Guinea Insurance appoints Babatunde Oshadiya as Managing Director.

Guinea Insurance has announced the appointment of Mr. Babatunde Oshadiya as the new managing director of the company with effect from 15th February 2018.

However, the company announced that the appointment is still waiting for approval from the National Insurance Commission.

In a release signed by the company’s secretary and legal adviser, Oluranti Oke, noted that the new Managing Director comes with over thirty years experience spanning insurance broking, supervision sales, and technical operations.

Profile of Mr. Babatunde Oshadiya

Babatunde obtained a B.Sc degree in Insurance from the University of Lagos in 1985. He began his insurance career at the Insurance Department of the Federal Ministry of Finance from 1987-1993. He was also an assistant general manager at NEM Insurance from 1996-2001.

Oshadiya became managing director ACEN Insurance in 2002 and later, MD/CEO Oasis Insurance Plc in 2008. He became an executive director at UnityKapital Assurance Plc in 2015. He has also worked at Healthcare Security Limited, FUG Pension.

Prior to his recent appointment at Guinea Insurance, Babatunde was a director at Westfield Insurance Brokers, a position he assumed in October 2017.

He is an Associate Member of both the Chartered Insurance Institute of London and Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.

 

Guinea Insurance is currently trading at N0.40 in today’s session on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
