In a tweet posted from its official Twitter handle, the Senate has screened CBN Deputy Governor nominees Aisha Ahmad and Lamtek Adamu. The upper chamber also screened 4 nominees to the Monetary Policy Committee.

The MPC had been unable to meet this year due to an absence of a quorum. The Senate had prior to this refused to screen nominees due to a disagreement with the Presidency over the nomination of Ibrahim Magu as chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
