3 ladies just got elected to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) council today

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) today held its 56th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the NSE Event Centre, Lagos. During the AGM, the Financial Statements of The Exchange as at 31 December 2016 and the reports of National Council and Auditors were presented to the members as part of the Ordinary Business of the day.As part of the agenda, the Exchange elected several new members to its council, including three women.

Here is a brief profile of the three ladies elected today:

Mrs Catherine Nwakego Echeozo

Mrs Echeozo is the immediate past Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of GT Bank. Mrs Echeozo joined the bank in 1993 and worked in different roles before retiring in March 2017 after serving 12 years as an Executive Director. She holds a first degree in Accoutancy from the University of Nigeria Nsukka and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, USA. She is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Erelu Angela Adebayo

Erelu Angela Adebayo holds a BSc with honours in Social Science an MBA, as well as an MPhil from the University of Cambridge. Erelu Adebayo’s work experience cuts across the banking and oil and gas sectors. She currently sits on the board of several organizations including the Dangote Foundation and Afriland Properties.

Mrs Fatimah Bello Bintah Ismail

Mrs Fatimah Bello Bintah Ismail represents the interest of Katsina State Investment and Property Development Company on the council of the exchange.
