The rate of inflation under President Buhari has been on the rise since the beginning of this year as his economies policies falters. The president has been in the way of two major structural reforms that may have helped avoid the situation we find ourselves in. He has refused to fully deregulate the downstream sector and allow a more flexible currency. This has dovetailed into a supply side inflation that now seems unlikely to go away.
