The Federal Government on Tuesday ‘sacked’ the Managing Director, Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria, Mr. Mustafa Chike-Obi and also dissolved the Management Team of the corporation.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Mr. Femi Adesina, made this announcement in a statement released Tuesday.
Mr Chike Obi’s tenure, Nairametrics understands was actually supposed to have come to and end in September 2015.
Ahmed Lawan Kuru has now replaced Chike Obi as the new managing director of the corporation
Ahmed Lawan Kuru before now was the Group Managing Director of Enterprise bank, which was recently sold to Skye Bank Plc by AMCON.
Kuru had risen through the ranks to become and executive director in Bank PHB (Enterprise Bank)
The president also named Kola Ayeye, Eberechukwu Uneze and Aminu Ismail as new executive directors.
The appointment of Kuru and the three new AMCON executive directors took effect from August 18, 2015, the statement added.
