- Nigerian Breweries Plc says it has invested N1bn this year towards improving the quality of More Lager Beer brand, which it acquired two years ago.
- The company’s Corporate Affairs Adviser, Mr. Kufre Ekanem, stated this on Friday in Makurdi, Benue State.
- More Lager Beer was acquired from the Benue State Government in 2013 by the Consolidated Breweries Plc, which also later merged into the Nigerian Breweries Plc in 2014.
- Ekanem said the upgrade of the More brand would give consumers a new taste experience.
He said, “For us, the investment in upgrading our Makurdi brewery and enhancing the brand represents a bold attempt to showcase our commitment to the people of Benue State.
“As the brewery responsible for brewing More Lager Beer, a brand wholly produced with locally sourced raw materials, this investment totals over N1bn for 2015 alone.
“This highlights our confidence in the fundamentals of the local economy to provide the enabling macro-economic environment for businesses to thrive.”
