See which African President is amongst the world’s best paid Leaders

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has recently taken a 10% pay cut on the back of the economic crisis his country is facing. The French President,  Hollande also took a pay cut when he assumed office in the midst of an Euro Zone economic crisis. On the home front the National Assembly just announced they will be cutting their budget by N30billion to N120billion. This now makes us wonder, when will President Goodluck Jonathan take a pay cut? Whilst we ponder on that here is a list of the top earnings leaders around the world according to CNN.

1. Barack Obama – USA ($400,000)

2. Stephen Harper – Canada($260,000)

5. David Cameron – United Kingdom ($214,782)

7. Francois Hollande – France ($194,250)

8. Vladimir Putin – Russia ($136,000)

9. Matteo Renzi – Italy ($124,600)

10. Dilma Rousseff – Brazil ($120,000)

11. Narendra Modi – India ($30,000)

12. Xi Jinping – China ($22,000)

Based on this list, President Goodluck Jonathan is not amongst the top 12 and as such earns less than $22,000 per annum. Surely, there maybe other criteria to use which may capture more perks but for now we make do with this list
