Forte Oil topped the gainers list for the week ended July 11, 2014 gaining 17% to close at N234.06. The stock opened the week at N200 after looking like it will drop to under N200. The announcement that it has been included to the group of “highly priced stocks” helped attract interest once again. NPF Microfinance Bank also added 16.6% on the back of fantastic Q1 results which saw profits rise 34% YoY. The stock closed higher at 98kobo. Transcorp also joined the top gainers list closing at N5.8 gaining 10% along the way. I expected it to cross N6 this week but won’t be surprised if that happens next week.
Custodian and Allied Insurance which topped the gainers list last week ended up on the losing side as it slid 8% to close at N3.71
