It appears former INEC Chairman has indeed found solace in the private sector. He is a director in Neimeth Pharmaceuticals and as usual had something to say during the company’s AGM.
According to Punch, Mr. Maurice Iwu, told the company’s shareholders that beyond making profits, it was committed to strengthening the country’s pharmaceutical industry.
According to him, this is why the company relies on domestic scientists and research to develop its drugs. He added that it also encouraged research by paying royalties to local scientists.
“Very soon, Nigerians will know that it is better to buy Nigerian products that they can guarantee what it is made of than foreign products,”
he said.
Well..let’s just hope we don’t need to put up his words to Vote.
