EFFORTS by the Federal Government to diversify the nation’s revenue base is paying off as the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), the country’s tax agency has announced that as at the end of April this year, it had collected a whopping sum of N1.5 trillion in taxes.
The agency assured that by the end of the year, it would exceed the Federal Government’s target of N5.7 trillion and reap as high as N6 trillion.
