The management of Ashaka Cement Company has announced that it will construct a new power plant with the use of local coal.
The plant is called Akko Independent Power Plant which is located in Akko Local Government in Gombe State.
The Chairman Board of Directors of the Company Malam Suleiman Yahaya made this disclosure yesterday at the Maiganga Concrete road ground breaking ceremony in Akko Local Government Area of the state.
Yahaya said the IPP project will soon commence and solicited for the support of the Ako community for the success of the project which in return will bring drastic improvement to the community.
