Apostle Suleman to start up his airline business.

The Nigerian aviation industry should be in anticipation as popular Nigerian pastor, Apostle Johnson Suleman disclosed he is set to start up an airline business that will employ over 3000 staff.

The man of God via his Twitter page made this known to his followers saying by God’s grace his airline will employ Nigerian youths. He also added that this is his own contribution to the nation’s development.

Starting our airline very soon..hoping to employ 3000 Africans.50percent Nigerians..part of our contribution to Nation building..God helping us..

The apostle’s tweet sparked several reactions online as many were glad about his desire to help Nigerian youths, while others took the opportunity to clamor for job roles. In all, everyone was excited and can’t wait already for the said airline to start functioning.

See some reactions below and what people have to say about his new venture.

Some of the apostle’s followers felt starting up an airline is on the extreme as he should focus on the basic thing, like feeding the masses and helping the poor. But the apostle replied that he has already done all of that and it’s time to harness the greater dream which is the airline.

Sir can you start from the Basic human need like food industry/ world class health centers or so.This will affect the poor more than airline. #WWJD

What this means for the aviation industry: With the Federal Government failure to launch the National airline (Nigeria Air) after the project gulped millions of Naira, this is a good development for the sector if private institutions and individuals can partake in its development. Just like the Akwa Ibom state-owned airline Ibom Air.

Also, with so many stories circulating over poor services from some Nigerian airline. If Apostle Suleman starts up his own airline it will be additional development in the industry and with the right set up and management, it can boast of becoming a stronger competition regarding that he is well known and adored as a religious leader. This will push other dwindling local airlines in Nigeria to buckle up on their services.
