Over the last couple of hours, news headlines have rocked with the election of Fiona Ahimie as the 14th president of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS).

This also makes her the first female president to hold the role in the institute’s 34-year history, a landmark moment for Nigeria’s capital markets and a signal of shifting leadership dynamics in the financial services industry.

Ahimie’s elevation crowns a career built on deep market experience and steady progression through Nigeria’s equities ecosystem for about 15 years.
