May & Baker Nigeria Plc has just disclosed its financial statement for the first quarter (Q1) period ended March 31st. Below are the key highlights of the results.
Revenue: Revenue declined significantly from N2.1 billion in 2018 to N1.8 billion in 2019. This indicates a reduction of 14.67%.
Gross Profit: Gross profit fell from N725.8 million in Q1 2018 to N600 million in Q1 2019, representing a downturn of 17.24%.
Profit Before Tax: There was also a cutback in profit before tax from N249.3 million in 2018 to N196.4 million in 2019. This also shows that it reduced by 21.28%.
Profit After Tax: Profit after tax dropped from N162 million in 2018 to N133.5 million in 2019, representing a decrease of 17.90%.
Earnings Per Share: Earnings per share reduced from 16.54 kobo in 2018 to 7.74 kobo in 2019.
