The Stock Market goes up for the second time this week

The Nigerian Stock Exchange ended Wednesday’s trading session in positive territory. The All Share Index closed at 29.202.54 basis points, up 0.18%.

Year to date, the index is up 7.09%.

Top Gainers and Losers

Livestock Feeds Plc was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 10% to close at N0.55. Custodian and Allied Insurance Plc gained 9.84% to close at N6.70. Learn Africa Plc rounds up the top three gainers for today. The stock gained 8.96% to close at N1.46.

On the flip side, Cutix Plc was the worst performing stock today. The stock declined by 10% to close at N1.62. GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Plc also fell by 10% to close at 8.55. PZ Cussons Plc rounds up the top three losers for the day. The stock shed 9.69% to close at N8.85

Top Trades by Volume

Transcorp Plc was the most actively traded stock today. 174 million shares valued at N200 million were traded in 102 deals. Union Bank of Nigeria Plc was next with 70 million shares valued at 416 million traded in 34 deals. Sterling Bank Plc rounds up the top three most actively traded stocks today. 48 million shares valued at N126 million were traded in 55 deals.
