Q1 2018 Results: Cadbury Nigeria Plc reports 76% decrease in profits

Cadbury Nigeria Plc today released its financial statements for the period ended Q1 March 31st 2018.

Here are the key highlights of the results;

Revenue

The company reported Revenue of ₦8.24 billion for the period ended March 2018 compared to ₦8.07 billion reported for the period ended March 2017. This represents a 2% increase for the comparative period in 2017.

Profit Before Tax

Profit before tax was ₦31.47 million for the period ended March 2018, a 67% decrease from the ₦95.83 million reported for the period ended March 2017.

Profit After tax

The company’s profit after tax for the period ended March 2018 was ₦22.03 million compared to ₦92.95 million reported March 2017. This represented a 76% decrease for the comparative period in 2017.

Earnings Per Share 

Cadbury Nigeria Plc also reported earnings per share of 1 kobo for the period ended March 2018 compared to 5 kobo reported for the period ended March 2017. This represents an 80% decrease for the comparative period in 2017.
