The Federal Government has approved the production of another driver’s licence that will have a five-year expiry period.
Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Boboye Oyeyemi made this announcement at a press briefing over the weekend in Lagos.
The Corp Marshal explained that the decision to have the five-year driver’s licence was taken by the Joint Tax Board at a meeting in Kano presided over by Babatunde Fowler, Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service, (FIRS).
Oyeyemi said the old driver’s license will not be discarded, rather, it would continue to be operational till it fizzles out of the system.
