The National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) may announce a metering plan by Distribution Companies in the country this week, when it is expected to unveil new tariffs for electricity consumption countrywide.
The commission had since ordered them to submit their metering plan for close monitoring.
The chairman of the commission, Sam Amadi, said last week that any of the companies that failed to work according to the plan submitted would be sanctioned.
The order for the submission of metering plan came on the heels of the commencement of metre installation in some parts of Lagos, where residents have expressed concern on the nature of metres being installed and the manner of installment.
