- A turnover of 2.092 billion shares worth N28.234 billion in 22,865 deals were traded for the week ended November 28, 2014 by investors on the floor of The Exchange in contrast to a total of 1.359 billion shares valued at N14.565 billion that exchanged hands last week in 20,844 deals.
- The top three equities that traded this week were Zenith International Bank Plc, FBN Holdings Plc and United Bank for Africa Plc (measured by volume) with each accounting for 812.237 million shares worth N10.768 billion in 5,326 deals, contributing 38.83% and 38.14% to the total equity turnover volume and value respectively.
- The NSE All-Share Index and Market Capitalization rose by 1.82% to close on Friday at 34,543.05 and N11.404 trillion respectively.
- Similarly, all indices appreciated during the week with exception of the NSE Industrial Goods index that dropped by 1.62%. (See summary of Index movements in the table below).
- Fifty-one (51) equities appreciated in price during the week higher than Nineteen (19) equities of the preceding week. Twenty (20) equities depreciated in price lower than Fifty (50) equities of the preceding week, while one hundred and twenty-six (126) equities remained unchanged lower than one hundred and thirty-two (132) recorded in the preceding week.
