The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Monday restated that the central bank will not rush to cut interest rate even as inflation is forecast to remain within its target this year.
“Rate reductions will depend on whether the government can control spending,” Bloomberg quoted Sanusi to have said in an interview in Marrakech, Morocco, where he is attending the annual meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB).
