Well if this following chart is anything to go by then 2011 may well have been the best. In fact the best of both worlds generation and consumption. According to the Central Bank power generation in 2011 increased 1.9% from 2010 to 3,086.1mw/h. Power consumption on the other hand increased 13.4% in 2010 to 2,703mw/h in 2011.

Except for the statistical reference Im not sure how this makes anyone happy. A total installed power generation of 9,287mw is still nothing to write home about for a population of over 160million Nigerians.
