Contrary to rumors making the rounds on social media circles, Nairametrics can confirm that Kia Motors Nigeria has not stopped doing business in Nigeria. A conversation with the Public Relations staff of the company revealed that the company is still in business in Nigeria.
Fears that the company had packed up its concerns in Nigeria were sparked on social media when certain users noticed that the company had closed up their service centre at Mile Two. However, a company representative has clarified the matter, indicating that Kia Motors Nigeria has only relocated its service center.
“We only moved to our state of art workshop on Apapa Oshodi Isolo expressway. Its bigger and is more equipped with facilities to ensure better customer satisfaction. We still also run our showrooms in Victoria Island (V.I) and Isolo” the representative said in an exclusive chat with Nairametrics.
The recession that has hit the country’s economy in 2016 has meant that several multinational companies have had to shut down their business and lay off several staff. Thus, Nigerians are very interested in happenings in the companies as they represent a source of employment for several Nigerians.
