Meta, the parent company of social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, is set to introduce advertisements on its social media app, Threads, starting January 2025.
Meta’s social networking platform Threads has reached a milestone of 275 million monthly active users, marking a significant achievement in its quest to compete with X (formerly Twitter).
Meta’s founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg has disclosed that the company’s latest social media app launched a year ago, Threads, now has over 175 million active monthly users.
Twitter’s Chief Executive, Elon Musk, said that the microblogging site recorded a 3.5% increase in active usage in the last week.
Twitter owner, Elon Musk has accused Meta of hiring some Twitter ex-employers to steal its trade secrets, which culminated in the launch of a Twitter-like app, Threads.
