The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has listed five websites allegedly harvesting Nigerians’ data fraudulently.
The Service also disclosed that 80 of its officers have been on trial for indulging in the collection of illegal fees for the issuance of new passports and renewal of old ones.
NIMC said that starting from April 1st, Nigerians will start paying for the verification of their National Identification Number (NIN) during applications for an International Passport.
