FUEL SCARCITY IN NIGERIA

PENGASSAN has warned that marketers have no justification to sell PMS at highly inflated prices of over N300
They said price arbitrage between Nigeria and neighbouring countries has continued to grow due to inflation and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
As expected, the development has left many Nigerians frustrated
The NNPC has stated the fuel queues in Abuja and Lagos will vanish in 3 days, stating that were issues around supply disruptions which have now been resolved.
Marketers listed the following as the issues the Federal Government must tackle head-on so as to free Nigeria from the recurring fuel scarcity crisis.
Queues resurfaced in some filling stations along Lagos Ibadan expressway, Ikorodu road, and Ikoyi on Sunday evening and Monday morning.
The focus should be on why no one has come out to bear responsibility for the long-suffering Nigerians have endured.
The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, @IbeKachikwu, on Tuesday, said the landing cost of Premium Motor Spirit, also known as petrol, is now higher than the pump price of N145 per litre.
