The Nigerian Stock Exchange ended Tuesday’s trading session in negative territory. The All Share Index closed at 28,200.88 basis points, down 0.4%. Year to date, the index is down 10.28%.
Top Gainers and Losers: Red Star Express Plc was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 9.81% to close at N5.71. LASACO Assurance Plc gained 9.68% to close at N0.34. NEM Insurance Plc gained 4.09% to close at N2.29. Nestle Nigeria Plc gained 1.79% to close at N1,250.00. Guaranty Trust Bank Plc rounds off the top five gainers for today. The stock gained 1.72% to close at N29.50.
On the flip side, Chemical and Allied Products Plc was the worst performing stock, declining by 10% to close at N24.75. Cement Co Northern Nigeria Plc fell by 10% to close at N13.05. Okomu Oil Palm Plc fell by 9.93% to close at N55.80. Forte Oil Plc fell by 9.90% to close at N18.65. Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc rounds off the top five losers for the day. The stock shed 9.88% to close at N14.60.

Top Trades by Volume: FBN Holdings Plc was the most actively traded stock today. 46,757,346 shares valued at N266,240,751.80 were traded in 243 deals. Courtville Business Solutions Plc was next with 46,739,833 shares valued at N9,464,297.75 traded in 36 deals, followed by United Bank for Africa Plc with 24,173,874 shares valued at N136,494,386.25 traded in 284 deals. Transnational Corp of Nigeria Plc was next with 12,404,800 shares valued at N12,482,394.55 traded in 179 deals. Zenith Bank Plc rounds off the top five most actively traded stocks today with 10,972,490 shares valued at N204,035,800.60 traded in 358 deals.

Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc proposed a final dividend of N1.20 per 50 kobo ordinary share, which will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the register of members at the close of business on Friday, 9th of August 2019.
