Toyota is also offering One Year free service for cars purchased between May 22 to July 22, 2013. The offer is for one year or 15,000km whichever comes first. They also indicate Access Bank can finance 80% of the cost of the vehicle (you contribute 20%) for 48 months at an interest rate of 20% per annum.
My View
On the duration for free service – The one year they introduce seem catchy but his hardly realistic. At an conservative average ride of 50km per day (the length of third mainland is about 10km) it will take about 10months to reach 15,000km.
On the financing
If you assume the cost of purchasing a car is N5million then the 80% finance at 20% interest rate for 48months will yield a repayment of N121,721 per month. If the car cost N3m your monthly repayment will be N73K. I am assuming no fees and insurance cost (which is usually an integral part of the cost anyway) and that you pay a uniform repayment balance.
