Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa says over 50 per cent of Nigeria’s population are living in urban centres, and expected to increase to 60 per cent by 2030.

Nigeria's population has risen to 201 million in 2019. This was revealed in the latest State of World Population Report released by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The world's most populous black nation — Nigeria — now has an estimated population of 182 million, half of whom are young and in need of jobs. 
Nigeria currently stands as the seventh most populous nation in the world with rate of 2.61%.
By 2050, about 152 million Nigerians will be extremely poor.
