Arla Foods, the farmer-owned dairy co-operative, in partnership with The Consulate General of Denmark, and the Financial Centre for Sustainability (FC4S), recently hosted a high level workshop that brought together key stakeholders from the dairy value chain—including government officials, regulators, farmers, nutrition experts, policymakers, and industry leaders—to discuss strategies for improving dairy nutrition, sustainability, and access.  
Arla Foods, the farmer-owned dairy co-operative, recently hosted its inaugural Arla-Damau Open Day where it gathered key industry stakeholders at the Arla Farm in Damau, Kaduna, to catalyze local dairy production in Nigeria.  
Currently, the farm is home to 216 Danish Holstein cows, which arrived in May 2023 and are settling well into their new environment.
The farm development project, which officially began in 2021, is one of Arla's investments in Nigeria's dairy sector and one of the steps taken towards backward integration in Nigeria.
