Air travellers departing from African countries continued to face some of the highest charges globally in 2024, with a growing number of levies embedded in international ticket prices.
Passengers departing from West Africa paid the highest air ticket taxes and charges in Africa in 2024, both for international and regional flights, according to a new report by the African Airlines Association (AFRAA).
