Bolarin Okunowo appointed as new MD/CEO of CAP Plc, as David Wright retires

Chemical and Allied Products Plc (CAP Plc) has announced the appointment of Mrs Bolarin Okunowo as its new Managing Director/CEO effective from 1st of December, 2021. The recent appointment is following the retirement of her predecessor, Mr David Wright, who will be exiting the position, effective 30th November 2021.

The recent board changes were communicated through a statement signed by the Company’s Secretary, Ayomipo Wey, and made available on the website of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).

The firm also seized the opportunity to thank the outgoing MD/CEO for his leadership, hard work, commitment, services and contributions to the company, and wished him all the best in his future endeavours.

About Bolarin Okunowo

Bolarin Okunowo is a seasoned business leader and finance specialist with close to two decades of experience that cuts across different spheres of human endeavours, such as;  investment banking and financial services, manufacturing, oil and gas, real estate and hospitality.

She served as the immediate past Managing Director of Portland Paints and Products Nigeria Plc, where she led a turnaround of the business and the implementation of the successful merger with CAP Plc. She was a Non-Executive Director of CAP Plc until July 2020 and is currently a Non-Executive Director of Livestock Feeds Plc.

Prior to joining Portland Paints and Products Nigeria Plc, she gained valuable work experience in reputable national and multinational brands, including but not limited to; UAC of Nigeria Plc, Stanbic IBTC Capital, ARM Investments Managers and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Okunowo is a qualified Chartered Accountant. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Birmingham UK and a Master’s degree in Information Systems from the prestigious London School of Economics.
