To allow customers to pay online using Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Dogecoin (DOGE), AMC Entertainment is in the process of updating its technical infrastructure.
However, it doesn’t end there. Adam Aron, CEO of the company, tweeted early Friday morning that he was wondering if users would also be interested in using Shiba Inu to pay. Most voters chose “Yes” in the poll with about a hundred thousand Twitter users taking part at the time of writing.
In recent years, the iconic theatre chain has taken a growing interest in cryptocurrency. A company-specific cryptocurrency was discussed by its CEO last week. AMC announced earlier this month that customers can purchase digital gift cards using cryptocurrencies like Dogecoin and others using the BitPay wallet.

As a result of an unprecedented run-up, the Shiba Inu ecosystem now includes ShibaSwap, a decentralized exchange (DEX). According to data from Defi Llama, the total value locked on ShibaSwap is $537.92 million.
ShibaSwap currently lists 29 coins, and according to CoinGecko, $236 million worth of coins have changed hands for the day.
ShibaSwap also offers two additional tokens in addition to Shiba Inu, its foundational token. Doge Killer is used to facilitating transactions on the DEX, while Bone ShibaSwap is used for voting on governance protocols.

Dogecoin’s algorithm is based on Scrypt, while Shiba Inu’s is Ethereum-based. As part of a swarm of dog-themed cryptocurrencies, Shiba Inu and the SHIB token are among Baby Dogecoin, Dogecoin, JINDO INU, and Alaska Inu to name a few. Investors who missed the Dogecoin pump from $0.0002 to nearly $0.75Â have been attracted to these lesser-valued tokens.
