Backstory

Nairametrics had earlier reported the approval of the Federal Government of Nigeria to reopen NYSC orientation camps. The re-opening is sequel to over seven (7) months of closure since March 2020.

Why this matters

The news serves as a respite to thousands of prospective corps members who have been held at home due to the pandemic. In a nutshell, this avails the youths the oppurtunity to contribute meaningfully both in economic and social terms to their motherland, preparing them for the labor market and to become change agents to the nation in general.

A detailed breakdown of the modus operandi for the reopening of the camps will be duly communicated.
