The Lagos State government has announced 2 new deaths resulting from COVID-19 complications. The two deaths, one male and one female, occurred on Monday evening.
The state commissioner, Professor Akin Abayomi, announced this on his official twitter handle on Tuesday, while giving an update on the pandemic.

One of the cases was a 45-year-old Nigerian male who returned from India in January, while the second, a 36-year-old female, had no travel history and no recorded contact with any of the confirmed cases.
The two deaths bring the total number of COVID-19 deaths in Lagos State to 16, while 98 patients have been discharged after making full recovery.

Lagos State had no new confirmed case on Monday, April 20, so the total number of confirmed cases remains 379, with 260 of these cases still active.
