Okomu, UACN, Ekocorp top gainers chart on Friday

Okomu Oil, C&I Leasing, UACN, Livestock Feed, and Ekocorp Plc led the ranks of gainers on the flour of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

While the all-share index grew by 0.07% to close at 29,415.39 index points, the equity market capitalisation closed at N15.17 trillion traded 280.9 million units of shares valued at N4.82 billion.

Top gainers 

Okomu Oil Palm Plc was the best-performing stock on the bourse today as it gained 10% to close at N66, followed by C & I Leasing, which gained 9.76% to close at N6.75. UACN also gained 9.63% to close at N10.25 as Livestock Feeds gained 9.26% to close at N0.59 while Ekocorp plc rounded off the list with 7.78% gain to close at N4.85.

Top losers 

Union Diagnostic was the worst-performing stock today having lost 9.09% to close at N0.2 followed by Courteville business solution, which lost 8% to close at N0.23. Cornerstone insurance shed 7.94% to close at N0.58. Wema bank plc shed 7.79% to close at N0.71 while Lasaco Assurance rounded off the list with a 6.9% loss to close at N0.27.

Top trades by volume 

Access Bank Plc was the most actively traded stock as it traded 45.23 million units of shares valued at N497.38 million across 387 deals followed by Zenith Bank Plc, which traded 29.18 million units of shares at N640.66 million across 508 deals. UBA Plc traded 22.14 million shares valued at N186.39 million across 363 deals.

Flour Mills Nigeria Plc traded in 21.79 million units of shares valued at N512.09 million across 153 deals while UACN capped the list with recorded trades in 17.73 million units of shares at N176.01 million across 270 deals.
