eTranzact International Plc yesterday announced the appointment of Mrs Olayimika Philips as the company’s new Non-Executive Director of Board. Below are some of the things you should know about her.
Educational Background
Mrs Olayimika Phillips has three different undergraduate degrees, including a Bachelors of Science (BSc.) degree in Botany, a Bachelors of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree, and an LLB from the Obafemi Awolowo University and the University of Lagos, respectively. She has since been called to the Nigerian Bar.
Professional Experience
Mrs Philips has many years of professional experience especially in legal services where her work spans across such sectors as energy, health, entertainment, manufacturing, real estate, etc.
She is a partner at Olaniwun Ajayi Co, a leading Nigerian law firm which provides legal services in areas such as banking & finance, mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, and other related corporate services.
As the partner in charge of the Enterprise Practice Group, Olayimika specialises in regulatory and corporate litigation across different sectors of the economy including media, advertising, hospitality and labour. She advises local and international clients on such topics as demergers, corporate finance, corporate governance, group organisation, etc.
Mrs Olayimika Philips also currently sits on the boards of several companies, including Philips Consulting and Aviat Networks Communications Solutions Limited.
