This is the Heineken ad “everyone” is saying is “racist”
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Linkedin

Social Media users have criticized a new Heineken Ad that suggests racist undertones. Heineken is brewed, marketed and sold in Nigeria by Nigeria Breweries Plc.

In the ad (see below) a bartender can be seen sliding a Heineken beer to a white lady who is hanging out with a bunch of white men.

As the beer slides towards her, it passed through some black people including ladies and men ending with a caption “Lighter is better”.

The ad immediately drew criticism from Chance The Rapper

I think some companies are purposely putting out noticably racist ads so they can get more views. And that shit racist/bogus so I guess I shouldn’t help by posting about it. But ? I gotta just say tho. The “sometimes lighter is better” Hienekin commercial is terribly racist omg

Others also showed their annoyance.

Am I the only one that is not seeing the racism in the Heineken ad? Yeah a bottle passes multiple black people and says lighter is better after it gets to a white woman but does this look exclusively black to you? People love to be offended don’t they ? pic.twitter.com/P4V35BsPsl

Actually this is the first ad I agree is rascist, Just plain rascist, even no attempt at humour.
