Internet web pay transactions has been on the rise over the years following the liberalization of the financial sector less than a decade ago. According to data from the CBN, Internet web pay transactions rose from about 133,000 transactions a month in 2010 to about 1 million transactions a month in 2016.
Value of internet web transactions has also risen from about N800 million monthly in 2010 to about N12 billion monthly in 2016. The data is provided by the CBN and updated monthly by Nairametrics.
