Ghana’s Misery Index climbed to 60.8 in the month of July nearly doubling the 31.51 score recorded at the end of 2021.
In the past seven months (December 2021 and July 2022) Nigerians are experiencing a sharp worsening of the misery index by almost 81 basis point each month.
According to the Misery Index, Nigeria is among the top ten saddest countries in the world, no thanks to its high level of unemployment (Q3-2018: 23.1%) and stubbornly high inflation (April 2019: 11.37%).
