Kemi Adeosun, Nigeria’s minister of finance, may have put in a notice of her resignation. This is according to several media reports

Neither the ministry’s twitter handle nor any of the social media handles run by the Presidency have confirmed this.

Adeosun was confirmed by the Senate in October 2015 and sworn in the following month.

Update

In a statement signed by Femi Adesina, the Presidency this evening confirmed Adeosun had sent in a letter of resignation. President Muhammadu Buhari thanked the Minister for her services to the nation and wished her well in her future pursuits.

Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Mrs. Zainab Ahmed, has been asked to oversee the Ministry of Finance with effect from today.
