Court adjourns Nnamdi Kanu’s trial

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra has pleaded not guilty to the 15-count charge proffered against him by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Recall Mr Kanu objected to taking a plea yesterday on the basis that he had not been briefed on the fresh charges against him.

Kanu’s lead counsel, Mike Ozekhome had opposed the re-arraignment of his client, stating that they were only served with the new charges on Monday and had no time to brief the client.

The case was therefore adjourned till February 16, 2022.
