Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, has set his eyes on Web 3.0 making it the latest target for his Twitter trolling.

Musk is a well-known proponent of Dogecoin (DOGE), and in an interview with Time magazine, he ridiculed Bitcoin (BTC) and advocated DOGE as a better alternative.

Musk in his latest tweet said “Has anyone seen web3? I can’t find it,” he says, referring to the most popular crypto trend after NFTs and Metaverse.

“Has anyone seen web3? I can’t find it,” Musk asked

Thus, his latest trolling spree got everyone’s attention including former Twitter CEO and an avid Bitcoin proponent, Jack Dorsey.

Dorsey has taken on Musk on several occasions in the past especially during his Bitcoin bashing days, He responded with a cheeky tweet himself and said, “It’s somewhere between a and z”.

Musk also replied, “m something something”

What is Web 3

Web 3.0 technologies are the next generation of internet technology that will push the internet forward. Web 3.0 includes blockchain and cryptocurrency, which Musk appears to be a huge fan of.

Data will be interconnected in a decentralized form, which would be a big leap ahead of our present generation of the internet (Web 2.0), where data is largely housed in centralized repositories.

Furthermore, users and machines will be able to interact with data. But for this to happen, programs need to understand information both conceptually and contextually. With this in mind, the two cornerstones of Web 3.0.

Musk trolled NFTs a few days back

Musk posted another joke on December 16 mocking the concept of NFTs, which many found perplexing considering his company’s reputation for selling completely ordinary items for exorbitant costs, whether it’s a Tesla flame thrower, headgear, or silk boxer.

Musk’s Twitter antics have caused a schism in the crypto community. Musk became an overnight hero for the crypto world when Tesla first stated they would take BTC payments, but that changed immediately when Tesla cancelled the BTC payment option.
