Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udo Udoma, on Thursday presented the N6.06 trillion 2016 Budget breakdown in Abuja.
Udoma said the Interior Ministry got N513.65 billion, Power, Works and Housing received N456.93 billion, Defence was allocated N443.07 billion, while the Education Ministry got N403.16 The Ministries of Interior, Power, Defence and Education are the ministries that got huge allocations in the 2016 Budget.
The minister said government will commence the release of funds for capital expenditure from Friday the 13th for the implementation of the 2016 budget.
Udoma hinted that the budget would run until the end of May 2017.
He said Federal Government will ensure that the 2017 budget is passed before December 31 this year.
