President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the indefinite suspension of Mr. AbdulRasheed Bawa, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), to allow for a thorough investigation into allegations of abuse of office.

According to the statement released by NTA via its Twitter handle, the removal follows weighty allegations of abuse of office levelled against him by some stakeholders in the anti-corruption fight.

Nairametrics reported earlier that The Department of State Services (DSS) summoned Mr Bawa for questioning.
