The Office of the Presidency reacted to the lifting of the Twitter Ban in Nigeria, stating that the resolution made with the social media company will lead to a mutually beneficial future with endless possibilities for both sides.
This was disclosed in a statement by the media aide to the President, Garba Shehu on Thursday morning.
This is coming 7 months after the operation of the microblogging platform was suspended in the country after President Buhari’s tweet on military operations in the South-East was deleted and for persistent use of the platform for activities that were capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence.
What the Presidency is saying

Emphasising that the interests of Nigeria will always come first, he disclosed that the government appreciates Nigerians, “especially the vibrant Nigerian youths who have borne with the long wait to resolve this impasse.”
