President Muhammadu Buhari has postponed his earlier scheduled trip to the United Kingdom for medical follow-up.
This disclosure is contained in a short statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, on Friday, June 25, 2021.
Adesina said that a new date will be announced for the trip which was earlier scheduled for Friday, June 25, 2021.
‘’The medical follow-up visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the United Kingdom earlier scheduled for today, Friday, June 25, 2021, has been postponed. A new date will be announced in due course,’’ the statement read.

Nairametrics had earlier reported that President Buhari was scheduled to embark on a scheduled visit to the UK on Friday for medical follow-up and return back to the country during the second week of July.
The scheduled trip was coming is coming barely 3 months after the president returned from his last visit to the United Kingdom for the same purpose.
The president had travelled to the UK on March 30 for a routine medical check-up, as indicated in a statement by one of his media aide, Garba Shehu.
While denying reports from some section of the media that the Nigerian President may be sick at that time and had to embark on an emergency trip, Shehu said that the visit was just for a routine medical check and undertook the trip with a set of doctors that he has retained for many years.
