FUGAZ lead actively traded stocks on Monday 

Nigeria's tier-1 banks grow their interest earnings by 36% to N740.9 billion in Q3 2022

The FUGAZ attracted a huge volume of trades on the floor of the stock market as they traded in 147.32 million shares at N2.68 billion, representing 64.02% of the total value of shares traded on the bourse in Monday.

The stock market traded in positive territory as the all-share index rose by 0.31% to close at 29,710.56 index points leaving the equity market capitalisation at N15.303 trillion.

Top trades by volume 

Access Bank traded the highest volume on the stock market on Monday as it recorded trades in 37.84 million units of shares valued at 408.59 million across 493 deals. Zenith Bank followed having traded in 34.99 million units of shares at N790.41 million across 594 deals.

GTBank recorded trades in 33.6 million shares at N1.15 billion across 345 deals with First bank recording trades in 22.81 million units of shares at N171.9 million across 353 deals while UBA capped the list with trades in 18.07 million units of shares at N160.69 million across 355 deals.

Top gainers 

Law Union Insurance was the highest equity gainer on bourse with 10% gain to close at N0.55 followed by Total Nigeria, which gained 9.35% to close at N117. Cadbury Nigeria Plc also gained 8.5% to close at N10.85 while Caverton Offshore and Jaiz bank rounded off the list with 6.67% and 6.15% gain to close at N2.8 and N0.69 respectively.

Top losers 

On the flip side, NCR Nigeria Plc shed the most with 9.88% decline to close at N3.65 followed by Nestle Nigeria Plc and Unity Bank which lost 6.12% and 5.8% to close at N1,380 and N0.65 respectively. Oando lost 4.86% to close at N3.52 while Courteville rounded off the list with 4.17% loss to close at N0.23.
